Block for comparing transactions

Hi, I'm looking for the creation of a new block that can all list transactions by category in a given timeframe.
My system of transaction categorization is more high level categories (under 5) compared to the default of 10+ categories.
What I would like to do is be able to have 2 blocks side by side that show all transactions for a particular category and be able to compare them month over month.
Currently, I don't see the ability to have a block that displays individual transactions, only categories (Expense by category)

I found this useful, though It wasnt clear whether the line with no merchant was for all transactions in the timeframe or just those with no merchant. when I click on the button to see transactions on that line, the transaction list shows all transactions in the timeframe, not just no merchant which is what I expected

Matthew Rines: I would think that is probably a bug to be fixed, :) sorry about that. It should be transactions with no merchant.

you meant like snap the transaction page into a block for comparison purposes?
Probably only display date - name - amount in the bock with mandate time frame and category pick?

Shawn Cao: Basically a "Transactions by Category" block where you can choose which categories transactions you want to see for a selected time period.
The beauty of Fina is being able to create customized templates using blocks to see data but currently there is no way to view actual individual transactions within blocks.

Categories > Merchants > Transactions.
What I'm really looking for is a breakdown of expenses to merchants within a category

Hi Mark - "Merchants in Category" block is available now, mind giving it a shot when you have time and let me know how it works for your (this) scenario.
